Applied Behavior Analysis ( ABA)

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific treatment method proven to work for children with Autism. ABA is the designed, implemented and evaluation of environmental modifications to produce significant improvement in human behavior.

According to Baer, Wolf, & Risley 1968,“Applied Behavior Analysis is the process of systematically applying interventions based upon the principles of learning theory to improve socially significant behaviors to a meaningful degree, and to demonstrate that the interventions employed are responsible for the improvement in behavior“

Typically developing children learn from their environment (other people) at an amazing rate, usually completely unassisted( independently). The main purpose of ABA is to teach the prerequisites to make it possible for a child to learn naturally. If our kids could learn without assistance in the first place they wouldn't have autism!

The special instructors will provide special education services as outlined in the IFSP. The special instructors will create and implement structures appropriate learning and developmental goals and supports for the child and family.

This approach applies the scientific method in instructing children with autism. Our therapists and special education teachers have a wide range of experience in providing interventions that improve your children's learning and development. We also apply other strategies such as:

• Natural Environmental
  Teaching

• Verbal Behavior • Discreet Trail • Behavior Modification
